Ekoetxea Urdaibai Event Day
Ekoetxea Urdaibai ConferenceIn the heart of the biosphere, leaders of institutions and companies met in Ekoetxea Urdaibai, within the framework of BIDC – Bilbao Bizkaia Design Council and BBDW – Bilbao Bizkaia Design Week, with quarkart as official agent in this edition and the hosting of Ihobe, Public Society of Environmental Management of the Basque Government.
PURPOSE
Bilbao Bizkaia Design Week
It is an annual institutional event that highlights innovative, strategic, and pioneering future design proposals for all industries that make up the ecosystem in our society. This event drives vision and progress in the economic and social fabric of our community, serving as a key promoter in the public and private agenda of Bizkaia and reaffirming our commitment to the growth and evolution of a engaged environment.
Vision
Our vision was to create an exceptional meeting space where leaders from the private and public sectors converged. We sought to foster collaboration and synergy between different economic areas, promoting sustainable development and innovation as fundamental pillars for a more prosperous and enriching future.
Objectives
Aware of the importance of joining efforts for regional progress, we outlined the following objectives for the event: Fostering the Exchange of Skills and Knowledge; Generating Strategic Alliances; Promoting Sustainability and its Human Dimension; and Highlighting Cultural and Artistic Heritage.
Promote the Exchange of Skills and Knowledge:
Facilitate a enriching dialogue between business and public leaders to share strategies and experiences that contribute to economic and social development.
Create Strategic Alliances:
Provide a conducive environment for the creation of collaborations that enhance the competitiveness and sustainable growth of attendees representing their companies and institutions.
Promote Sustainability and its Human Dimension:
Deepen the implementation of sustainable practices in its five dimensions, strengthening organizational resilience and enhancing its intangible capital. Furthermore, we will delve into the system’s ability to make a meaningful impact in the current context, contributing to the construction of well-being for the community as a whole.
Highlight Cultural and Artistic Heritage:
Immerse ourselves in the cultural and artistic heritage from Ekoetxea, the activity center of Ihobe, a Public Society dependent on the Basque Government that aims to achieve proper environmental management in all areas where human activity takes place. With temporary and permanent exhibitions, in addition to the exclusive cultural event for the Event, attendees will experience the positive impact of sustainable management in all sectors and industries.

Expert in talent and labour ecosystem in Randstad, exposing new requirements towards the recruitment and retention of professionals, with the addition of Jose Luis Jimenez Brea, with experience in general management of Arteche, Innobasque, presidency in the Knowledge Cluster of the Basque Country and Basque Group of the Club of Rome, with his valuable experience in the transmission of knowledge in the system.

Cocktail and Networking
After the conference, we enjoyed a cocktail in Torre Madariaga of Ekoetxea itself, taking advantage of the wonderful views of the Urdaibai biosphere to connect among the attendees in a unique environment.

The closing of this event was marked by a cultural experience designed specifically for the occasion, personalising sustainability in a way never seen before and leaving a lasting impression on a more committed future.
